Terms of Service
Last updated 15 August 2026
Notiza reports what your bank told you. It is not your bank, it does not hold or move money, and it cannot guarantee that a payment has settled.
A confirmation here means an alert matching that payment arrived and was verified as genuinely from your bank. Whether to release goods on that basis is your decision.
Agreeing to these terms
By creating a workspace or using Notiza you agree to these terms. If you are setting it up for a business, you confirm you are allowed to agree on its behalf.
What the service does
Notiza reads the payment alerts your bank sends you, checks that they genuinely came from that bank, records them, and delivers confirmations to the people you choose, showing each of them only what you allow.
What it does not do
This is the part worth reading twice.
- It is not a bank and holds no money. Notiza is not a licensed financial institution and does not initiate, receive, hold or reverse payments.
- A confirmation is evidence, not settlement. A bank alert says the bank sent a message. Payments can be reversed, alerts can be delayed, and a bank can send an alert for a transaction that later fails. Deciding whether to hand over goods is yours.
- It cannot see what your bank does not send. If your bank does not alert you, or the alert never reaches the inbox or phone you connected, Notiza will not know about the payment.
- It never asks for banking credentials. Anyone asking for your internet banking password, PIN or OTP in the name of Notiza is attempting fraud. Tell us at privacy@notiza.ng.
Your account
You are responsible for who you invite and what you let them see. When you invite someone you are choosing to share your payment information with them; when you remove them, their access ends, but what they already saw cannot be recalled.
Keep your sign-in secure. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has used your account — we will also email you when your account is used on a device it has not been used on before.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- connect a mailbox or device you are not authorised to read;
- use Notizato monitor someone’s finances without their knowledge;
- present a Notiza confirmation as proof of settlement to someone who is relying on it as such;
- attempt to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service, or use it to break the law.
Your data
The alerts and records in your workspace are yours. We process them to run the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can delete your workspace at any time, which deletes them.
Availability
We work to keep Notiza running, but we do not promise it will be available without interruption. Alert delivery also depends on your bank, your mail provider, your phone network and the notification services your device uses — none of which we control.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Notiza is provided as it is. We are not liable for losses arising from a payment that was reversed, an alert that did not arrive, an alert that arrived late, or a decision made on the strength of a confirmation.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by Nigerian law.
Fees and payment
Notiza has a free plan you can use for as long as you like, and a paid plan for businesses that need more bank accounts or more people seeing their alerts. What each plan includes, and what the paid one costs, is on our pricing page.
Paid plans are billed in Nigerian naira, monthly or yearly in advance, by invoice. Prices exclude any tax that applies to you. We will tell you before a price changes, and a change never applies to a period you have already paid for.
If you move to the free plan, or your paid plan ends, you keep everything already in your workspace and simply cannot add beyond the free plan’s limits. We do not delete your payment history because an invoice is unpaid, and we do not stop collecting your alerts without telling you first.
Fees already paid are not refunded for a period you have used, except where the law requires it or where the service did not work and we agree it did not.
Ending it
You can stop using Notiza and delete your workspace whenever you want. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, and will say why unless doing so would itself cause harm.
If an invoice goes unpaid we will contact you before doing anything about it, and the first thing we do is move you to the free plan rather than close your account. Nothing is deleted for non-payment.
Changes
We may change these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will say so in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Notiza after that means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and disputes are subject to the Nigerian courts.
